Our decorator, Pierre Yovanovitch, shares with us his personal favorites and best addresses in Méribel.

1. Your favorite rooms

Suite 905 with a separate living room and a continuous balcony. Suites 1003 and 1004, which both have a spacious bedroom and nice volumes. All three offer a breathtaking view over the valley and exceptional lighting that allow you to recharge your batteries, to think or on the contrary, to disconnect and not think about anything at all.

2. Your favorite viewpoint at the hotel?

The terrace from the Beefbar restaurant which has a panoramic view over the valley.

3. Your favorite dish or cocktail at the Beefbar or BiancaNeve

Truffle ravioli at the Beefbar!

4. Your favorite artist showcased at the hotel?

I like every artist whose work is displayed in the hotel, but I have a preference for Ugo Rondinone, whose art is exhibited in the lobby of the hotel.

5. Are you more snowshoe, ski or snowboard?

I am more of a ski person. I love la Cime Caron in Val Thorens and the black trail Jean Blanc in Courchevel.

6. Your favorite winter experience at Le Coucou?

Go skiing and eat a chocolate crepe when I come back to the hotel.

7. Your favorite ski trail?

Skiing on a black trail!

8. Your favorite time of the day at Le Coucou?

I particularly cherish this time of the day around 5pm, when you come back from your day of skiing. It is the time for a drink at the bar, for a snack, or a massage.

9. Your favorite treatment at the Tata Harper Spa

The custom-made relaxing massage

10. The best outfit for a day at Le Coucou?

A velvet pair of pants and a cashmere sweater.

11. Your favorite piece of decoration at the hotel?

There are many surprises at the hotel, many vintage pieces, and pieces that I designed as well, giving a lot of personality to the hotel. To give some examples, I would say some of my favorite pieces are the collection of masks from Eric Croes, the ceiling painted by Matthieu Cossé or the little owl chair that I designed for Le Coucou.

12. A souvenir at Le Coucou?

I have insomnia, but my first night at Le Coucou, I slept 8 hours straight. I think the quietness from the mountain, the warmth of the rooms and the serenity that you find at Hotel Le Coucou enabled me to rest properly.
