Philippine de Richemont: Artistic Background and Creative Universe
A French artist born in Paris in 1989, Philippine de Richemont has developed an instinctive and vibrant pictorial language, shaped by movement, color, and the energy of the body, like a story unfolding through each work. Trained in art direction at Penninghen, she creates an imaginative world where painting becomes rhythm, breath, and presence. Her artistic practice is infused with dance, not merely as a theme, but as a driving force behind every gesture, line, and creative impulse.
In her work, silhouettes are never static: they stretch, bend, unfold, and move forward in a perpetual flow that echoes the vitality of our contemporary world.
She exhibits her work in both Paris and New York, appears in numerous private collections, and cultivates a fluid dialogue with spaces dedicated to creation and artistic exploration, places where emotion circulates freely and artistic gesture harmonizes with its surroundings. Her sensitive, committed approach finds an ideal setting at Le Grand Mazarin, a hotel where every detail helps reveal a singular vision of hospitality, true to the Maisons Pariente spirit.
“Le Bal du Grand Mazarin”: An Installation Inspired by the Spirit of the Hotel
Starting February 12, Philippine transforms the windows of Le Grand Mazarin with a brand‑new installation: “Le Bal du Grand Mazarin.”
Conceived as an open stage facing the city, the work unfolds across three windows, offering a joyful and bold interpretation of movement. Dance takes center stage, expressed through a vivid palette, interacting female figures, and an energy that seems to spill into the surrounding space.
Music plays a fundamental role here: the installation is inspired by a song by Georges Moustaki, revisited by Bachar Mar‑Khalifé. Its enveloping rhythm accompanies the silhouettes like a breath that brings them to life, creating a living scene visible from the street. An invitation to slow down, observe, and perhaps fall into the rhythm.
In keeping with the spirit of Le Grand Mazarin – where creativity flourishes both in public spaces and the privacy of the rooms – this installation becomes part of a larger artistic continuity: a vibrant, multifaceted hotel, open to the Marais and deeply connected to contemporary creation.

La Grande Manufacture: An Artistic Initiative Dedicated to Contemporary Creation
“Le Bal du Grand Mazarin” is part of La Grande Manufacture, an artistic program conceived as a recurring rendez‑vous around contemporary creativity. Initiated and strongly supported by Maisons Pariente, the project offers visibility to emerging or established talents whose work naturally resonates with the hotel’s identity.
At Le Grand Mazarin, this initiative extends well beyond a simple exhibition: it creates a link between the hotel, the neighborhood, and passersby who encounter the works through the windows. By showcasing art directly accessible from the street, La Grande Manufacture embraces an open dynamic, one of sharing, surprise, and connection, that inspires just as much as it brings people together.
A vision perfectly aligned with the Maisons Pariente philosophy, where hospitality is not merely a service but a thoughtful gesture, a way to spark memories and fuel the imagination.
Artists Previously Exhibited at Le Grand Mazarin
Since opening, Le Grand Mazarin has showcased the work of numerous creatives whose aesthetics enrich and dialogue with the hotel’s identity. Among them:
Pangea, the artistic duo celebrated for its distinctive approach to gesture and collage, who previously transformed the hotel’s windows.
Héléna Soubeyrand, whose delicate and poetic work has also illuminated these spaces.
Jacques Merle, creator of an immersive mural displayed within the hotel’s pool area.
Marin Montagut, who brought enchantment to the Marais through an artistic intervention in the hotel’s windows.
Together, these artistic contributions embody the spirit of the Maison: presenting living works, sensitive environments, and fostering an ongoing dialogue between creation and hospitality.
