Launch of the Maisons Pariente Prize: An Artistic Competition to Reveal Emerging Talents
The Maisons Pariente group is launching a new artistic competition aimed at celebrating and promoting the emerging art scene in France. This prize, created for the group’s fifth anniversary, symbolises the deep commitment of the Pariente family to contemporary artistic creation.
Passed down through several generations, art holds an important place in each of the Maisons. Like a patron, the Pariente family personally selects the artworks and creations
The Pariente family’s passion for art has been passed down through several generations. Each of the group’s hotels—Crillon le Brave in Provence, Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez, Le Coucou in Méribel, and Le Grand Mazarin in the heart of the Marais district in Paris—features a rich selection of artworks, sourced from the family’s private collection or presented by renowned curators. The primary goal of this competition is to highlight the emerging French art scene and support promising talents in their creative endeavors. By providing a platform for exhibition and financial recognition, the Maisons Pariente Prize aims to shine a spotlight on up-and-coming artists.
The Prestigious Jury of the Artistic Competition
For this first edition, candidates will be required to imagine an original work aimed at “dressing a wall” with a fresco, regardless of the medium, on the theme:
“From real journeys to imaginary voyages: how does reality shape our dreams?”
The Maisons Pariente Prize jury is composed of eight prominent figures from the worlds of art, design, and architecture:
— Charles Zana, renowned architect
— Amélie du Chalard, founder of the Amélie Maison d’Art gallery in Paris
— Michèle Dard, director of the Camondo school
— Julia Rouzaud, founder of Goodmoods
— Isabelle Dubern, co-founder of The Invisible Collection
— Isis Colombe-Combréas, co-founder of MilK Decoration
— Kimberley Cohen and Leslie Kouhana, co-founders of Maisons Pariente
The awards ceremony will be held at the Amélie Maison d’Art gallery in Paris, in partnership with Taittinger. The finalists’ works will be exhibited there.
The winners will enjoy increased visibility among French and international audiences. The finalist artist will see their work exhibited in one of Maisons Pariente’s residences, benefit from visibility on the Goodmoods partner website, and have their portrait featured in an edition of MilK Magazine.
Selected from numerous applications, these ten artists have captured the jury’s attention through the singularity of their world, the sensitivity of their perspective, and the strength of their approach.
Each of them, in their own way, embodies the values of the Maisons Pariente Prize: imagination, material, memory, and transmission.
